In a time long ago, I worked under the incomparable Rocky Maselli, who nudged me in the right direction for what is now my career. I guess in that sense you could say the big guy was my professional mentor! Both Rocky's family and I ended up coming from Eugene, Oregon to the Bay Area, and now Rocky is the Executive Chef at A16. I love both A16 locations, and last night met with a friend & colleague for dinner and was blown away by the incredible prix-fixe menu they offer Sunday-Thursday.
Just $25 for a starter (last night was a great salad), your choice of ANY of the pizzas or pastas on the menu, and a dessert (last night was a chocolate panna cotta with candied hazelnuts and sea salt). What a steal! #dbsobsessed
