I am assuming you have heard about cookie butter. If you haven't... weird. Anyway, here is the thing: It is amazing. Put it on apples and you have basically reached nirvana. Here is a bit of info on the basics of the cookie butter empire... While Trader Joe's Cookie Butter has pretty much taken over the game here in the US, it is Biscoff that originally made the product. Remember these cookies from flights in the 90s? This is literally a spreadable version of those cookies. Love this, but you have to spend more to get it. It is available at Cost Plus World Market. Now, on to the TJ's variety. Not gonna lie, it is just as tasty as the other kind, which kind of sucks for the folks at Biscoff, but it is what it is. I have only tried the 'smooth' variety, but I am pretty, pretty, pretty sure they are all amaze. I feel like it would be an insult to your intelligence to have to explain how good those things pictured above are. #dbsobsessed

No. Run. Gross.
These are an abomination and the shame of the gummy family. Consider yourself warned.
I love decorating. I love decorating with very expensive things. I also love having money in the bank. So, in an effort to make all of these things work together, I took matters into my own hands, and found a way to take an affordable dresser and update it to match the more unique look of something you may see from a high end retailer like Z Gallerie.
Here is the process:
I started with the Mudhut™ Asmara Horizontal Dresser from Target, which happens to match my night stands, also from Target. Currently priced at $359.99 (shipping is free), I waited until there was a 20% off sale, making it even more affordable!
I love the look of the dresser, and it arrived quickly. That being said, be prepared to put some time into assembly of this bad boy. I happen to think I am pretty handy, and working on this with no distractions, it took me 3 hours.
I knew I wanted to add drawer pulls that would give the dresser a look that is 100% me. So, being that I am hooked on crystals (think Spencer Pratt, not pre- eyebrow piercing Fergie), I was looking for a raw cut crystal look.
First, I found these (literal) gems at Anthropologie:
Now, I am every shade of #dbsobsessed with these, but like I said, I was trying to do this without spending too much money, and at $28 a pop, I wanted to find something for a little bit less. On to the next....
Whenever I am looking for alternative item in the decor department, I make sure to check out Etsy. That wonderful Etsy did not let me down! I found the most amazing shop, LandiDesigns. This shop has every kind of crystal/quartz drawer pull you could every imagine.
I fell in love with the 'Custom One of a Kind Natural Citrine Druzy Drawers Pulls Knobs' (can you say SEO?). At $14.99 each, it was a better deal than the others I found, and they are also larger, and add more to the drama of the finished product. Additionally, since they are not from a national retailer, they are more unique and not something I will see elsewhere.
So, once I had the dresser all set up, and the pulls arrived, I switched them out, which took all of about 3.5 minutes. Here is the finished product, and I could not be happier.
This is not about any specific product, but I simply had to share that I was feeling very useful the other day! I have this wonderful table from Comptoir de Famille. While the table was sold as outdoor furniture, but was quickly wearing from being in the great outdoors. So, I took some polyurethane and sealed that bad boy. What an incredible difference! The table immediately looked brand new again, and is water resistant. I am sure I will have to reseal every 6 months or so, but well worth the effort to keep this beautiful French table.
Whether you want to admit it or not, you have thought about whether or not you could pull off the overly lined lip look that Kylie Jenner has made famous as of late. Like you, I too was curious! However, not knowing if the look would work for me, and not being someone who typically uses lip liner, I did not want to spend a bunch of money on liners for this experiment.
Luckily, I found a set on Amazon, made by NYX, that fit the bill perfectly. There is a variety of colors (they could be better, but they work for seeing if the trend is something you're into), and very reasonably priced at $24.99 for 6 liners.
Exactly what it sounds like... These are my top 10 Netflix suggestions at the moment! They are in no particular order, but are all entertaining in their own special ways.
Yes, yes, so much yes. The Theory of Everything is wonderful in every way. The acting, the music, the cinemaphotography, they're all stunning. The story is beautiful and tragic and inspirational all at once. Before I Go To Sleep is entertaining and worth watching, but ultimately this is one of those movies you will almost immediately forget about. Super weird, didn't really appeal to me. However, I suppose it is worth watching. BRING BACK MORE KEATON ERA STARS! Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Not a life changer, but worth watching. As someone who thinks Robert Duvall can do no wrong, it pains me to say that this just wasn't that great. I blame RDJ. NOPE. Meh. YES, YES, SO MUCH YES.
Planet of the Apes movies are always amazingness and this is no exception. Unbroken the movie: worth watching, interesting, a good way to spend an evening on the couch. Unbroken the book: life changing, a must read, inspirational, incredible. Nice try, Jolie, but I can't say I'm too impressed. #3 was the kiss of death for these movie franchises. I was so sorely disappointed by both of these.
Mockingjay was a total snooze fest and while the Hobbit was entertaining, it was NOT the story of The Hobbit! #fail |
