Grease-free, heavy coverage, and a matte finish. This super lightweight sunscreen doesn't FEEL like sunscreen when you put it on, but it does the job amazingly well. Daily Deflector™ Waterlight Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ by Kate Somerville.

Hi Friends- For my birthday (coming soon), here is what I want from you, as a present: As many of you know, the Baja Peninsula has been horribly damaged by Hurricane Odile. While we are seeing a lot in the news about those who are in destroyed resorts, there are MANY people who live and work in the area, who need our help to eat, get water, and eventually rebuild their community, residences and businesses. There are a number charities in the area, some good, some not so good. One I have been assured will do the right thing and help the right people with the money donated is Liga MAC A.C.. Please help me in donating to this great cause at http://icf-xchange.org/donateonline/index.php?webkey=ligamac I checked ratings for the donation site, and it is verified and all safe. When donating, please use #hopeforloscabos in the ‘I’d like to make this donation on behalf of’ area, so we can track our totals! Please send this along to anyone else you think might want to help us in raising money for this wonderful cause. Here is the site for Liga MAC A.C.: http://www.ligamac.org/ Anything helps! <3 you all! Book Online Now> Summer is drawing to a close and it is time to update you all on my most recent reads! Some were good, some were boring, some were great, and some were downright weird... Here goes: Chevy Stevens Mysteries I really enjoy these Chevy Stevens books for a quick and exciting read. I wrote about another I read, Still Missing, and I found these to be just as enjoyable. If you do not mind crime and like a real thriller, these are the books for you. Constant twists and turns will keep you on your toes. #dbsobsessed More Mysteries... I tried a phase of reading those books you see in the airport, regardless of whether or not they were part of a series, and here is the score: Field of Prey was ok. The read was thrilling, but there is some really messed up stuff in this book! I cannot imagine reading this series on a regular basis. Missing You was quite enjoyable because of the constant twists the author throws your way. This is one I recommend for a quick and enjoyable beach or travel read. It's a twisted take on the phenomenon of Catfishing, taking it to the next level of creepiness. Freak is the second book in a series, the first being Creep, which I did not read. I thought the book was OK, and it did not take much time to read, but I am certainly not running back to get her other books. Again, good enough for a quick read, but I will not be a dedicated fan as I will be with Stevens. Admittedly Weird Foray Into Non-Fiction...![]() When I decided to read a non-fiction book, I was still in the midst of my crime book spree. So, I naturally went for a book about a sick murderer? Sure. I had seen a documentary about Ed Gein, and am also a fan of Psycho and Bates Motel, so I was interested in getting to know more about the true man behind the fictional tales. The book was very interesting and something I highly recommend for fans of true crime books, movies and TV. Harold Schechter's Deviant not only gives a history of Gein and his twisted family dynamics, but also of the rural community in which he lived. I found it to be an informative and thrilling read, and am looking forward to reading more of the books by this author. As a fan of horror movies, this is right up my alley. Weird? Maybe. The Best of the Summer Reads The Secret History is by the same author who wrote The Goldfinch, which I wrote about earlier. Tartt did not disappoint with this earlier work which chronicles the lives of a quirky group of college-ages swells on the East Coast as they navigate life around a crime they have committed. While I did not think this was as great as The Goldfinch, Tartt's beautiful writing is here as well and I cannot wait to read her other books.
The Road was a book I had often heard of, and I loved the movie that came out about it. I decided to read the book and it took me about 2 days. It was a beautifully written tale of a boy and his son in the post-apocalyptic world. A great read. #dbsobsessed |
