Sorry for the delays in posts... lots going on over here! In the moment I have, I simply had to share a new favorite flavor combo for a quick and easy dinner protein option (would also be great to chop the leftovers and put in a salad)!
We all have those nights when we are feeling less than creative in the kitchen. When it happens, may I suggest picking up a flank steak (TJ's will do), and a bottle of Stubb's Pork Marinade. Yes, Pork. Yes, I know steak is not pork. Just trust me here.
Marinate overnight and grill to rare, let rest so it comes to medium rare, slice and devour.
DAYUM it is good.
Recently, I was lucky enough to be invited to (and attend) the launch of the new FEMME line, from Timbuk2! Having been a long time fan of the brand, I was thrilled to see what they had come up with for a more female-specific line. I was not disappointed! The new bags are stunning, and perfect for the urban woman-on-the-go, who is carrying the same bag to work in the morning, and out afterward. It can be difficult to find something for all of those purposes that you have throughout the day, without sacrificing style. However, that problem is a thing of the past, with this new line.
It was great to be able to see their urban factory and to meet the amazing people behind this wildly successful company, that has maintained its values and small-company feel, throughout many years of growth.
The line includes the following bags:
Femme Messenger – Harkening back to Timbuk2’s hero bag but with a twist: all leather construction lends an elevated look to the everyday cyclists’ favorite bag.
Satchel Backpack – Inspired by the shape of a vintage Persian carpetbag, this luxe piece can be worn as a backpack or carried as a tote, helping to smooth the transition from work to play.
Fanny Pack – This miniature version of the classic Timbuk2 messenger is for women who want a chic hands-free bag with more compact storage: perfect for the festival or concert goer.
Boxy Tote – A modern and minimal shoulder bag with a slim profile that can carry everything you’ll need for the day and night.

You've seen me write about Full Moon Pet's line of human-grade dog treats before, and I am back to reiterate just how much I recommend these for all of my fellow pup owners.
As many of you have surely heard over the last year or so, there is a lot of talk about how many chicken jerky treats being sold in the US are made in China and have been proven to be unsafe, and sometimes even fatal, for dogs. As I have Alfie on a grain-free diet, these types of treats would be ideal in theory, so I was bummed to know that they were not to be trusted.
Luckily, Full Moon Pet has a large line of chicken treats, including some new offerings, that are incredibly safe, and adored by dogs. Alfie, along with his sisters, Waffles and Dandy (dog sitting for the parents), were lucky enough to get to try the full chicken lineup, so we could report to you on how they were received.
This all-natural, made in the USA brand of dog treats is about two years old, and available nationwide at Target stores as well as Walmart, Kroger, ShopRite and many many more. At Full Moon Pet, they believe that if it is not good enough for you, it is not good enough for your pets, which is something I love (as a crazy dog person, who does not have real kids yet, and still really cares about this kind of thing)! That is why they stick to simple, honest recipes using ingredients sourced right here in the United States.
* 100% made in the USA
* 100% human-grade ingredients
* Free of fillers like corn, wheat and soy
* No artificial preservatives, flavors or colors
Waffles was a huge fan, as you can see... But, so were all three of the dogs. I love this one because it is perfect for cutting up and putting inside of a treat like a Kong Genius, without it crumbling and falling apart, or being too easy to get out, as can be the case with smaller treats of uniform size.
I can't express how excited the dogs get for this, and the other treats. It was pure mayhem around here when I was attempting to take pictures.
Also available in Skin + Coat Health or Hip + Joint Health varieties, ALL of these Chicken Jerky treats are winners. Because they are tougher (you know, cuz they're jerky...) they last longer, and are a great treat to give Alfie to work on for at least a few minutes.
A smaller version of the filets (from what I can tell), these are great for small dogs when you want to just grab and give them something, without tearing it into smaller pieces. As you can see, Alfie and Waffles were not interested in much, besides eating these.
Also great for inside the Kong Genius (which Alfie is still legit obsessed with).
dLike the jerky, these are a bit tougher and take the dogs a few more moments to get through, which I love. They cannot get enough of these, and Alfie was ready to attack the 90+ lb Waffles over them, which is exactly what happened after this epic stare down... Needless to say, I had to save him from himself on this losing battle. I respect his bad assness though...
Finally, the Chicken and Sweet Potato... this one was Alfie's least favorite, as he prefers to just eat the chicken and leave the sweet potato pieces around, leaving me to wonder if I should pick up what looks like it might be something other than a piece of sweet potato...
However, the other dogs are IN LOVE with these as well.
All in all, this has to be my favorite line of dog treats, by far. Totally #dbsobsessed and will be giving these to my little guy for quite some time.
The top wines from the weekend are ready to be shared as #dbsobsessed approved. Here we go!
Up first, The Unteachables, from one of my favorite wineries, Chronic Cellars. I have yet to find one of their wines that I do not love, and this big, jammy, Paso blend is no exception to that rule.
Next: Kenneth Volk 2012 Steiner Creek Pinot Noir. This is an incredible Pinot! If you love Pinot Noir, I highly recommend checking this one out.
This post is not going where you think it is going... while I do love some champs (thank you, Heather Dubrow), I am spending this long weekend working, relaxing, staying low-carb and hydrating! So, I had to find a beverage choice that would work with my theme for the weekend.
As you have probably seen, if you follow me on social media, or read this blog, I am 100% #dbsobsessed with LaCroix Sparkling Water. So, that is where I am going with the whole bubbles thing, natch.
HOWEVER, in big news, they recently launched 3 new flavors in their LaCroix Cúrate, which I could not wait to try and share with you. [Note: You can pick them all up at Target].
The LaCroix Cúrateline already boasted 3 flavors:
Of these flavors, Cerise Limón is my favorite by far. It is crisp, naturally sweet, tart and refreshing. That being said, I love them all and have purchased all on more than one occasion. So, I was obviously excited to try the newbies!
So, what are the new flavors, you ask?!
Kiwi Strawberry- The flavors of both fruits are very much present, and what I love is that they are not sweet in a sugary sense, but have a hint of natural sweetness from the essence of the fruits. As someone who very rarely drinks soda, these area great replacement. Remember when we all used to drink Kiwi Strawberry Snapple?! This is like a fancier and healthier version for your grown ass self.
Blackberry Cucumber - It's like a spa in a can, I am in love. The blackberry flavor is much stronger than the flavor of the cucumber, but you can certainly taste the cucumber as well. One of the more boldly flavored in the line, I give this one 2 thumbs up and think it would pair especially well with gin... That is definitely going to be something I test out at a later date.
Cantaloup Pink Grapefruit - Again, LOVE. For me, I picked up more cucumber and pink grapefruit that cantaloup, but I did get the melon flavor on the end. (I know, this isn't wine we are talking about here, but I am trying to be descriptive!) The most subtle and refreshing of the bunch, I have to say that this is my favorite.
Can't do a LaCroix post without giving a shoutout to my main squeeze, Coconut, and close second (tied with Apricot), Mango.
