It's rare that I find beauty products that I approve of for regular use, in the drugstore. However, there are exceptions, and here they are!
NYX Matte Lipstick: So very Kylie of me, I know! But this stuff is AWESOME and only $6, with a major variety of colors. It stays put and has a very rich pigment. Big fan of these lipsticks which have officially converted me to a grown up (which means I am not just wearing gloss anymore). Biore Strips: We all know these, but if you are like me, you have not used them in YEARS. I finally picked them up again, after having some problems in the pore department. When I first used them, I did not properly wet my skin before applying, which rendered them useless. HOWEVER, once I applied them properly, I was reminded of how awesomely effective they are. I'm back, Biore. Missed you! Now, you are going to notice that the following three products are all from Maybelline. As someone who has never had a very positive association with that line, I have been shocked to find that they have stepped up their game in a major way. Here are my favorites at the moment: Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser: First of all, if you are someone who is prone to breaking out from anything that is oily or heavy, or someone who easily looks greasy in the face department, I don't think this is for you. For everyone else- this is a great product to use as a primer for your foundation/bb/cc. Maybelline Pure BB Cream: When applied with a Beauty Blender, this stuff is great for an everyday, light coverage option. Go a shade darker than you might think though, as I have found that it runs a bit light. Pictured below. NOTE: Do not get the cheaper version of the Beauty Blender. They are totally different products and cannot be compared. I tried both and the inexpensive knock off was nothing but a waste of time and money. Maybelline New York Shine Free Oil Control Loose Powder: Loving this as the third step to face makeup, after the two listed above. It sets my makeup and helps to eliminate shine and makeup meltdown/stickiness. Maybelline New York Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner: I am a bit picky when it comes to my eyeliner. After trying many, I am sure of the fact that gel pots are the way to go, and for a long time, I thought that only Bobbi Brown Gel Liner would do. However, that was before I got to know this product. I have in black and brown and I love them both. They come with a great brush for application, and the makeup goes on consistently and easily, staying put through a long day or night of wear. I still love Bobbi Brown, and think her products are best for dramatic colors, but for everyday wear, I am all about this Maybelline product. LINKS FOR ALL PRODUCTS BELOW:
