Having recently heard quite a lot about the brand Lipstick Queen, and their oddly colored lipsticks that look nothing like you would expect them to, once they hit your lips, I had to try them for myself. Boy, am I glad I did! Some major finds were found, and here they are for you!
Here are links and company descriptions of the three products I chose to check out:
"Get heads turning with Frog Prince, a remarkable emerald green lipstick that transforms into magical rosebud upon contact with the lips. Don't be fooled by the deep green hue of this semi-sheer lipstick - the green reacts with the warmth of your lips turning them an intense, fairy tale rose. No two pairs of lips will look the same as it adapts according to your pH and natural coloring, appearing entirely different yet beautifully flattering on everyone. Vitamin E and Shea Butter keep lips soft, hydrated and deliciously kissable. And just like true love itself, this enchanting shade was made to last. Lips remain their blissful pink all day long from just one lingering, magical Frog Prince kiss."
"Turn the blackberry lip trend on its head with this ultra-modern, navy blue sheer lipstick. In a nod to the nautical, Hello Sailor tints lips in a cool, berry tone with a hint of deep sapphire. The sheer blue pigment is suspended in a protective Vitamin E treatment that can be worn alone as a nourishing lip tint or teamed with its Berry sisters in Saint or Sinner, to add a topaz glint to your berry lips."
Endless Summer- SPF 15 - In 'Hang Ten'
"These moisturizing and sun protecting lipsticks in fun, pop, surf-inspired shades, give an immediate hit of sunshine to both your face and your mood. Super nourishing and sleek, they are bursting with happy brightness and yet are still sheer enough to wear every day, all year round, whatever the weather." Also love to use their Invisible Liner!
An incredible product. This goes on like a balm, but turns the perfect pink hue for your skin tone. I tried it out for some sans makeup shots (sorry in advance) to see if this is really one of those products you can put on as you run out the door, and feel a bit better about not having put on your face.
Pretty much everything I said about Frog Prince applies here. However, instead of pink you get more of a plum or wine color.
Where you would more than likely reach for Frog Prince in the spring and summer months, Hello Sailor is what you may grab for fall and winter, instead.
Another win, believe it or not! This is not a lipstick I would wear with no makeup, but it is an excellent choice when you want to go all eye, with a little bit of nude lip or just super casual (as shown below).
