While at first I was feeling badly about the fact that I had not updated all of you on my reading finds, in some time, I have now come to see how perfectly timed this is! Everyone needs good summer books for their trips and little sits out in the sun. It just so happens that I have been (mostly) reading books that are perfect for these types of reads, for the past several months. Don't judge... sometimes you need to use reading as your down-time from work (aka time to avoid using your brain, at least for a bit).
Any-who... here they are! Slow Burn Series by Bobby Adair
So, let me start with the fact that I (honestly) never read a zombie book before this, and never thought I would. I purchased the 'This is the End' collection, based on my interest in dystopian fiction, and just started with book one. I did not realize at the time that I was not reading the beginning of a series called 'This is the End', but that I was starting one of many series, included in that larger collection. The first book I read was 'Slow Burn' by Bobby Adair, and it is in fact, a zombie apocalypse novel.
Shockingly, I was totally entertained by this book, and have actually mowed through 8 of them already! I should probably be ashamed of that, but whatevs. The Prettiest One by James Hankins
Follow You Home and The Magpies by Mark Edwards
Child of God by Cormac McCarthy
